Tourism industry grant applications are open

Several of the grant programs targeting the tourism industry announced last week are now accepting applications. These grants, funded by the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) and administered by the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA), will help Wisconsin’s small businesses and venues that serve as cultural catalysts in communities across the state. Information about the individual grant programs, including links to grant application materials, are listed below: 

COVID-19 Movie Theater Grant Program: Grants totaling up to $10 million available. 

  • Application deadline: October 26, 2:00pm
  • Aids Wisconsin movie theater owners and operators whose operations have been negatively affected by COVID-19. Grant details and application are available here

COVID-19 Lodging Property Grant Program: Grants totaling up to $20 million available. 

  • Application deadline: October 26, 2:00pm
  • Support Wisconsin hotel and lodging facility owners whose businesses have been affected by COVID-19. Grant details and application are available here.

COVID-19 Live Music and Entertainment Venue Grant Program: Grants totaling up to $15 million available. 

  • Application deadline: October 28, 2:00pm
  • Assists Wisconsin’s live music and entertainment venues and operators whose operations have been negatively affected by COVID-19. Grant details and application are available here.

COVID-19 We’re All In Small Business Grants: An additional $50 million now available. 

  • Applications will be accepted between 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 2.
  • Helps small businesses get back on their feet as they re-emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and prioritizes businesses most impacted by the pandemic including restaurants and taverns. Grant details and application are available here
