Bridging Faith and Administration: Insights from The Church Network Conference

Last month, I had the opportunity to attend the annual Church Network Conference as a vendor in the tradeshow. Walking into the convention center, I am always reminded of great experiences at previous conferences and knew this year would be no exception. Between the dynamic conversations, invaluable connections, bustling booths, engaging presentations, and an incredible array of resources, this conference delivers on all fronts.

Attending this conference each year reaffirms the importance of staying informed about the latest trends and tools in church administration.

More importantly, it highlighted the immense value of networking and collaboration. From software solutions for managing church finances to church construction to innovative technology in churches today, the vendors that come to this conference are prepared to help churches flourish.

One of the standout moments of the tradeshow was watching all of the connections between the church administrators and talking with individuals at our booth. I had many meaningful conversations and fun moments with church administrators stopping by to reconnect, ask questions, or simply to eat a piece of chocolate after lunch. A common theme I heard from those seeking out assurance or advisory services was a desire to be above reproach in managing the church finances. Often times, the best way to address that desire, if you’re not receiving audits already, is by starting with advisory services and deciding the next steps after working through the organizational structure, board governance, and financial records.

Events like these remind us that we are part of a larger community, all working towards similar goals. The connections and conversations provide new perspectives, creative strategies, and best practices.

That is the power of collaboration.
